My name is Roxanne McFann and I was born in Denver, CO in 1960.

My first introduction to art was from a book about making art forms out of paper, which was given to me, from my parents, as a young girl.

Since then, I have been interested in creating art in any form. Throughout school I continued learning new mediums. This included hand building pottery and acrylic and oil painting, from which I have won several awards from.

It was not until a stroll through a prairie dog field did I find one of my favorite mediums-bones!

My bone art is Native American-inspired, stemming from my attraction with cultural arts.

Challenge is at the forefront of my art; to find the unusual and even common and make it beautiful. My photography is a great example of this. Hiking to the mountains or exploring an abandoned building, holds countless opportunities to make something extraordinary.
